Frequently Asked Questions: Air Source Heat Pumps
Air Source Heat Pumps transfer heat from the air outside, into water which then heats your rooms via radiators or underfloor heating.
It can also provide hot water for your taps, bath and showers, which is stored in a hot water cylinder.
Heat from the air is absorbed into a fluid. This fluid then passes through a heat exchanger into the heat pump which raises the temperature and then transfers that heat to water.
Running costs will depend on how your heat pump is designed and operated and savings on your energy bills will depend on the system you are replacing.
Our preferred manufacturer of Air Source Heat Pump is Global Energy Systems, a family owned Lancashire based engineering company situated in Lytham, Lancashire.
All installers are Lancashire based and have been through the Global Energy Systems Training Programme.
