What is Local Authority Funding?
Funding Available from Your Local Council
Funding is available at times directly from individual Local Authorities which is administered through Cosy Homes in Lancashire. Each Council decides which energy-saving measures they wish to fund and the groups of residents who they think should benefit from the funding. The funding is limited and is normally available over the Winter months on a first come first served basis – when the funding becomes available it will appear in the ‘What We Can Help You With’ section.
Rhea Projects will always try to find additional funding to ensure LA funding goes further and helps more residents.
Eligible residents are generally:
- Households with an income of less than £31,000. Priority will normally be given to those with a long-term health condition, elderly or with other vulnerabilities.
Eligible measures are generally:
- Replacement/Repairs of broken boilers over 10 years old
- Boiler Servicing
- Replacement of single-glazed windows and old wooden external doors
- Insulation measures which are not eligible through other funding streams
