Loft Insulation
If you're a Lancashire resident, we'll be able to help you. Complete the application form and our team will be in touch to confirm your eligibility and options.
Loft insulation can be funded through the Government's Warm Homes: Local Grant. For eligible residents, the grant could cover the cost of installation.
After applying, we'll review what measures your home needs. Under the Warm Homes: Local Grant, this could include insulation, air source heat pumps and solar panels. Insulation will be installed if it is suitable for your home.
We'll contact you within 10 days to confirm eligibility. If eligible, a retrofit survey will be organised. This is to review the property and decide what measures are suitable.
A contractor will then contact you to arrange a Technical Survey. This is an in-depth survey of the property to take the required measurements for installation.
The contractor will then provide quotes and submit them to the Government for approval. Once approved, you will be contacted to arrange the installation date.
You could be losing up to a quarter of your heat through an uninsulated loft. Insulating your loft, attic or flat roof is a simple and effective way to keep in heat and reduce your heating bills. We’ve already helped lots of homes across Lancashire insulate their loft – either completely free of charge or at a subsidised cost.

Loft insulation is a layer of material installed inside your loft to prevent heat from escaping and to help regulate the temperature of the home.
This can depend on the type of insulation and installation but typically, good quality mineral wool insulation can last up to 50 years and more fragile materials around 15 - 20 years.
The insulation installed inside of the loft traps warm air inside the home and prevents it from escaping.
Insulating your loft could save up to £150 per year and a loft top up could save up to £65 per year.
