Apply for free Loft Insulation

You could be losing up to a quarter of your heat through an uninsulated loft. Insulating your loft, attic or flat roof is a simple and effective way to keep in heat and reduce your heating bills.

We’ve already helped lots of homes across Lancashire insulate their loft – either completely free of charge or at a subsidised cost, and now we have the means to help more of you.

Our loft insulation measures are in high demand and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so apply today to be considered.

Apply

Why apply?

Advantages

  • Reduces bills - Insulating your loft could save up to £150 per year and a loft top up could save up to £65 per year.
  • Maintaining an ideal temperature - Maintaining a healthy temperature (18 - 21 degrees) will reduce the risk of respiratory problems, strokes, heart attacks and hypothermia.
  • Cut carbon footprint - Insulating your loft will help reduce the amount of energy used to heat your home.

Considerations

  • Reduced loft space - thick layers of insulation could reduce the amount of usable space in your loft.
  • Access and maintenance - insulation might make it harder to access wiring, plumbing or other systems within the loft.
  • Condensation - Insulation could trap moisture, leading to condensation.

Next steps

1.

Rhea will contact you within 5 working days to organise the Retrofit Survey. This is to review the property and decide what measures are suitable.

2.

A contractor will then contact you to arrange a Technical Survey. This is an in-depth survey of the property to take the required measurements for installation.

Apply

3.

The contractor will then provide quotes and submit them to the Government for approval. Once approved, you will be contacted to arrange the installation date.
