What is ECO?
Energy Company Obligation (ECO) is a Government energy efficiency scheme in Great Britain to help reduce carbon emissions and tackle fuel poverty.
Under ECO, qualifying residents in receipt of an income or disability related benefit may be eligible for partial or fully funded replacement of their boiler if it is old or defective and FREE First Time Central Heating. Using ECO funding we have already helped many households across the County install energy efficiency heating and insulation measures.
ECO Flexibility funding (ECO Flex)
If you are on state pension, on a low income of less than £30,000, have savings of less than £16,000, have a long term health condition or disability, have young children or currently pregnant, you may still be able to have your home insulated or receive heating measures under our ECO Flex funding. The Team at the CHiL Hub will be able to help you.
The latest version of the Lancashire' Statement of Intent' shows the full list of qualifying criteria.
Installers, please note:
Local Authorities that have signed up to the CHiL Flex Statement of Intent, will only sign Flex Declarations for CHiL approved contractors. CHiL currently has sufficient contractors to meet demand. If you would like to go on a waiting list, please email your details to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note that qualifying contractors must be Lancashire based.
