Why install an Electric Vehicle Charger

Advantages

  • Charging at home is the cheapest way to charge your electric vehicle
  •  Its' more convenient - you can charge your vehicle overnight meaning you don't need to worry about your next charge stop
  •  Charging overnight or at off-peak times can save you money.  It can also also help balance the electricity grid, as there is less demand for electricity

Considerations

  • Lower vaultage means longer charging - Home chargers tend to have low to standard voltage, meaning it can take anywhere between 5 to 15 hours to full charge your vehicle
  • Higher electricity bills - Your electricity bills will increase when you charge from home. There are EV charging tariffs available  which can help keep costs down, so it's always a good idea to check with your supplier for the best option for you. Next steps

1.

We'll contact you within 5 working days to confirm eligibility. If eligible, a retrofit survey will be organised. This is to review the property and decide what measures are suitable.

2.

A contractor will then contact you to arrange a Technical Survey. This is an in-depth survey of the property to take the required measurements for installation.

3.

The contractor will then submit quotes to the Government for approval. Once approved, you will be contacted to arrange the installation date.
