We meet many organisations as we continue to fight fuel poverty and vigorously work towards cutting gas omissions.

One organisation that champions the safety of each and every one of us is the fire service. Unfortunately, figures reported by the government in July 2025 show there were 142,494 fires in the previous year.

Common causes include cooking accidents, electrical appliances, smoking materials, portable heaters, open fires, candles and matches.

During a free home visit, fire safety information including escape plans and bedtime routine are discussed, smoke detectors fitted and appropriate equipment can be provided to reduce fire risk.
