Ingredients

  • 400g vegetables of your choice (50p)
  • 600g pototes (60p)
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil (9p)
  • 1400ml stock (12p)

Instructions

  1. Chop the vegetables and potatoes into small pieces
  2. Heat the oil in a large pan
  3. Fry the potato and vegetables until they begin to soften
  4. Pour the stock into the pan and simmer for 10-15 minutes
  5. Once the vegetables and potatoes are tender, blend until you have the desired consistency
  6. Season and serve with herbs of choice

Cosy Homes in Lancashire was launched in 2014 by 15 local authorities in Lancashire following an energy efficiency study commissioned by Blackpool Public Health.

We're a not-for-profit scheme, managed by Rhea Projects, helping residents, landlords and park homeowners with free energy saving services and grants for heating, insulation, and low-carbon renewable technologies.

Chris came round to have a look at my house with regards to energy saving. He fitted foil behind my radiators, put energy saving bulbs in my lights, plus he put plugs in that turn standby off on the TV and side lamps when not in use. he was so helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and efficient.
