Home Upgrade Grant

14th September 2022
An Old House

CHiL has now secured Government Sustainable Warmth Funding which can fund a wide range of insulation and renewable heating measures to qualifying properties.

The Funding, Home Upgrade Grant (HUG), is available to residents across Lancashire who have a household income of less than £30,000 and are living in properties which have an EPC Rating of D, E, F or G. The funding is only available to properties where there is no gas central heating although having a gas connection is permitted.

The grant will cover the cost of all the necessary improvements up to £10,000, however this could be higher for properties which are deemed very energy inefficient.

The funding is available until 31st March 2023 but it is expected that further funding will be made available beyond this date.
