Coming together to support you with the cost of living

 

1st Call, in partnership with Hyndburn Borough Council, invites you to the Helping Hand Event.

Come along and chat with local services and organisations for practical advice and support to help with the cost of living.

 

The event could help you with;

  • Taking control of your money and finding out if you are entitled to financial support
  • Building your work skills and finding routes into employment
  • Improving your mental health and wellbeing
  • Finding information on local food banks and pantries
  • Answering local housing queries

 

Free hot drinks and a warm meal will be provided and attendees will receive a Winter Warmer pack to take home (subject to availability)

Drop in between 11:30am and 2:30pm at the Accrington Town Hall, BB5 1LA. No booking necessary.

Please be aware that most of our funding must meet the guidelines set as by the UK Government.

  • I / We live in Lancashire.
  • I / We own the house, or I have my Landlords' permission to do any work
  • I / We qualify as household income is less than £36,000 or I/we are in receipt of a Means Tested Benefit
  • If your home has no mains gas central heating you could be eligible for a Home Upgrade Grant (HUG). You can qualify automatically for a HUG if you live in an eligible Post Code area and your house has an EPC of D, E, F or G.
