The government have recently released an online eligibility checker, giving residents access to free home improvement measures under the current Home Upgrade Grant.

 

What’s available?

You could be eligible for a grant worth up to £38,000, to install energy efficiency measures in your property, making your home warm and ready for winter.

Air source heat pumps, all types of insulation, Solar PV, high heat retention storage heaters, single glazed window upgrades and more are available for qualifying residents.

 

Am I eligible?

My home is heated by;

Additional qualifying criteria

  • I live in an eligible post code area. Check your post code here!
  • My overall household income is less than £31,000 per year
  •  Someone in my household receives one of the following means tested benefits;
    • Universal Credit
    • Child Tax Credit/Working Tax Credit
    • Pension Credit (Guaranteed)
    • Income Based Job Seekers Allowance
    • Income Support
    • Housing Benefit
    • Income Related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)

There are a few was you can apply for a Home Upgrade Grant;

Check your eligibility:

Please be aware that most of our funding must meet the guidelines set as by the UK Government.

  • I / We live in Lancashire.
  • I / We own the house, or I have my Landlords' permission to do any work
  • I / We qualify as household income is less than £36,000 or I/we are in receipt of a Means Tested Benefit
  • If your home has no mains gas central heating you could be eligible for a Home Upgrade Grant (HUG). You can qualify automatically for a HUG if you live in an eligible Post Code area and your house has an EPC of D, E, F or G.
