Enjoy a brew and a snack and find out how you can get a HUG from South Ribble Borough Council.

The government funded Home Upgrade Grant (HUG) is available for Lancashire home owners, landlords* and residential park homes, to install energy savings measures worth up to £38,000, for free, with no requirement to pay anything back.

If your home has no gas central heating with an EPC of D, E, F or G and;

  • your household income is less than £36,000 or,
  • someone in your household is in receipt of a means tested benefit or,
  • your property is in an eligible postcode area (see Eligible Postcodes),

then you could qualify for free air source heat pump central heating, solar PV panels, all types of insulation, single glazed window upgrades and more!

We can help you complete an application form or give you a pack to take away.

*Landlords are required to pay a contribution

Tea Pot

The Coffee Morning at St Aidan’s Community Hub serves the whole community twice a week. Freshly brewed coffee, a selection of teas, juice, toast, cakes and biscuits are available for a voluntary donation, and common food allergies are also catered for.

Whether you are on your way back from the shops, you’ve dropped kids at school or have them with you or you’d like someone to talk to, we want to welcome you. Well behaved dogs are welcome too!

There is a children’s corner with toys and activities, there are magazines to read, a lending library and information about different forms of support available. We also have visitors on different weeks talking about local services. The Coffee Morning was set up with support from South Ribble Council.
