Join Better Start and a host of services at St John’s Church and find out how we can support you and your family. 


We'll be there to talk about the Home Upgrade Grant (HUG

HUG is available to Lancashire, residents to install energy efficiency measures at home, worth up to £38,000, for free


If your home has no gas central heating with an EPC of D, E, F or G and;

  • your household income is less than £36,000 OR,
  • someone in your household is in receipt of a means tested benefit OR,
  • your property is in an eligible postcode area (see Eligible Post Codes)

then you could qualify for measures such as air source heat pump central heating, solar PV, all types of insulation, single glazed window upgrades more.


Better Start will also be providing a free ‘Save and Play’ session which has been developed by their early years team.

Free refreshments also provided.
