Internal Wall Insulation
If you're a Lancashire resident, we'll be able to help you. Complete the application form and our team will be in touch to confirm your eligibility and options.
Internal wall insulation can be funded through the Government's Warm Homes: Local Grant. For eligible residents, the grant could cover the cost of installation.
After applying, we'll review what measures your home needs. Under the Warm Homes: Local Grant, this could include insulation, air source heat pumps and solar panels. Internal wall insulation will be installed if it is suitable for your home.
We'll contact you within 5 working days to confirm eligibility. If eligible, a retrofit survey will be organised. This is to review the property and decide what measures are suitable.
A contractor will then contact you to arrange a Technical Survey. This is an in-depth survey of the property to take the required measurements for installation.
The contractor will then submit quotes to the Government for approval. Once approved, you will be contacted to arrange the installation date.
Internal wall insulation is a type of insulation that is directly applied to the interior of walls inside your property.
Internal wall insulation reduces heat loss and helps keep rooms warm by reducing draughts. However, as it is installed on the interior of the wall, it does reduce the size of the room.
The installation of internal wall insulation can reduce the size of a room, and it is an invasive process which could require the removal and reattachment of skirting boards, door frames and electrical sockets.
The best type of insulation for interior walls could depend on whether your home has solid or cavity walls. The insulation type will be finalised by the installer.
