More than a third of all heat lost from an uninsulated home escapes through the walls. Installing cavity wall insulation is often one of the most cost-effective measures you can undertake to save energy in your home.
The Green Homes Grant - Local Authority Delivery Scheme is now available to residents across Lancashire and will cover the cost of Cavity Wall Insulation. The scheme is being delivered under CHiL.
Grants of up to £10,000 are available to homeowners to upgrade the energy efficiency of their homes. The grant is available to owner-occupiers, private rented tenants and social housing tenants. To be eligible you must have a household income of less than £30,000 and the property must have a Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of D, E, F or G.
However a contribution would be required in all instances from a Landlord if it is a rented property. The funding is available until 30th September 2021 so apply now before it runs out!
The Green Homes Grant funding is also available for room in roof and loft insulation measures for Lancashire residents as well as Renewable Heating installations. For more information please look at the Green Homes Grant page.
