REPLACING YOUR BOILER - THE BENEFITS

Gas Boiler Replacement

The cost of heating your home, particularly during the colder winter months, makes up about 60% of energy bills. CHiL are pleased to announce that limited funding for boiler replacement is currently available. Register your details to find out if you’re eligible today.

If you’re thinking about replacing your boiler, it’s important to know the different types and how they work. The size, type and make of boiler can all affect how much energy you use and how your home and hot water is heated.

When it comes to choosing a type of boiler, there are three main options to consider:

  • A Combi Boiler is a highly efficient way to heat your radiators and supply you with just the hot water you use combined (hence the name)
  • A Conventional boiler sends hot water to your radiators and water cylinder, where it is stored for you to use when you need it. It can be less efficient than a Combi but if your home is large and you have more than one bathroom it may be the best option.
  • A System boiler directly heats your central heating system and hot water for a sealed storage cylinder. It is also suitable for larger homes with more than one bathroom and can be easier to install than a Conventional boiler.

Gas boiler replacements usually require a customer contribution however CHiL will endeavour to source additional funding to cover the full cost of the works whenever possible.

Will You Save Money

If you replace an old G-rated boiler with a modern A-rated boiler with a full set of heating controls, the Energy Saving Trust estimates you'll save around £340 a year on your gas bill. This does not take into account the cost of installing a new boiler.

Lower Heating Costs

The age and type of boiler you have affects how efficient it is. A modern condensing boiler is the most efficient boiler on the market.
